Terms of service

FixFade is a small service with a simple deal: you pay once for credits, we restore your photos, and your photos remain yours. Here is that deal in writing.

FixFadeEffective July 24, 2026

01 · The serviceWhat FixFade does

FixFade uses AI models to restore, colorize, enhance, and animate photographs you upload. By using the service you agree to these terms. If you are using FixFade for someone else — scanning the family albums for your parents, say — you agree on their behalf too.

02 · Credits & paymentOne-time purchases, no subscription

The free tier exists so you can judge the results before paying. We may adjust its daily limits to keep it sustainable.

03 · Your photosYou keep the rights

You retain all rights to the photos you upload and to the restored results. You grant us only the narrow license needed to run the service: to store your images and pass them to our AI processing providers (currently fal.ai) solely to perform the work you request. We do not train models on your photos and we do not use them for anything else. Details live in the privacy policy.

04 · Acceptable useThe obvious rules

We can refuse to process content and can suspend accounts that break these rules. If we terminate your account for a breach, unused credits from that account are forfeit; if we ever discontinue the service, we will refund unused credits.

05 · Honest limitsWhat AI restoration is

Restoration is a careful reconstruction, not a photograph of the past: the AI infers detail that the damage destroyed. Results are usually excellent and occasionally wrong about a face, a texture, or a color. The service is provided “as is,” and — keeping things proportionate for a small consumer product — our total liability to you is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit. Keep your originals; we never alter them, and neither should you throw them away.

06 · HousekeepingGoverning law, changes, contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which FixFade’s operating entity is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If we make material changes we will update the effective date above and notify signed-in customers by email. Questions, disputes, or refund requests: write to support@fixfade.com — we would much rather fix a problem than argue about it.
